Fee Structure

• Non-recurring fees will be charged as per given guideline on prospectus.  For detail the section “Fee Structure” is referred from postgraduate prospectus.
• Moreover, the Centre has fee waived off policy for qualifying students as per approval of Centre Board of Governance that is as under below:

Fee waiver based on CGPA* (rounded off up to 02 decimal places):

CEWRE is now offering a tuition fee waiver based on the CGPA, applied as per the following structure:

*50 % @ 3.5/4.0 CGPA and 80 % @ 3.8/4.0 CGPA is applicable to intakes before Spring 2026.

 

Fee waiver based on MoUs:

CEWRE is now offering a tuition fee waiver of up to 50% for candidates nominated by partner organizations under existing MoUs. The waiver will be applied as per the following structure:

Fee waiver for UET Alumni:

CEWRE is now offering a tuition fee waiver for UET Lahore (for all campuses and affiliated colleges/ institutes) Alumnae will get Flat 40%.

Fee waiver to foster gender support:

To foster gender support CEWRE is now offering an additional 10% tuition fee waiver for female and transgender, cumulative up to a maximum of 80% total waiver inclusive of all waivers, concessions and any kind of support.

3. Mandatory Requirements for Satisfactory Performance:

1. Course work should be completed in two semesters by taking maximum subjects in each semester (Four subjects must be passed in each semester for MSc).
2. For continuation of Fee waiver student should maintain at least 3.0/4.0 CGPA in each semester.
3. Student must ensure regular meeting with supervisor and submit four satisfactory monthly progress reports in each semester.

FEE REGULATIONS

1. Periods of fees and Other Charges

a) The fees and other charges are categorized as:

• Semester recurring fees. (Tuition Fee and other charges)

b) During each year of a student’s stay at the University, all recurring fees are charged in two instalments payable at beginning of fall and spring semesters.

c) A minimum of 4 semesters recurring fees are admissible to students enrolled in MSc/ M.Phil./MS programs. However, students completing their degree requirements in contiguous three semesters will not be charged for the fourth semester. This is possible only if the student enrolls in four courses in the first semester, gets his/her topic approved at the start of the second semester and enrolls in the remaining four courses in the semester. The student needs to work for at least six months, after the approval of his/her topic by ORIC, on his/her thesis. The final viva cannot be scheduled unless all the eight courses have been passed by the student with a CGPA of at least 2.5 out of 4.0 and should be held a couple of weeks before the end of the third semester. All those students who will not timely complete their degree requirements and stretch it unnecessarily in the fourth semester, will have to pay the fee for the fourth semester.

d) A minimum of 6 semesters recurring fees are admissible to students enrolled in the Ph.D. program. The maximum 75% of tuition fee has been waived off for six semester to students enrolled in Ph.D program in Centre as per Centre’s BOG approval.

e) Students will be charged full fees for semesters in which they register in subject(s) other than the thesis.

f) Students who do not register in subjects or have deferred their studies or have registered in the Thesis during a semester will only be charged retention fee of Rs 15,000/- during that semester. This fee will be over and above the minimum admissible recurring fees.

 

2. Refund on Admission Cancellation

Admission Cancellation by Freshly Admitted Students

All recurring fee paid by the student are refundable excluding the Admission Fee as per the following schedule:

a) No fee refund if admission is cancelled from 7th day onward. The count of days mentioned in the schedule for determining refund amount, would start from the date falling last from either (i) the date of convening of classes; or (ii) the date of initiation of registration by the university; or (iii) the date of payment of admission dues by the student in the bank.

 

3. Refund of Securities

The University security, library security, hostel security and mess securities are refunded when a student leaves the University after completion of his degree.

4. Revision of Tuition Fees Rates

To account for inflation, upto 12% increase in tuition fee and other charges will be incorporated each year.
