Workshop Content
Changes in technology, land use, and rapid population growth place an increasing large burden on both the quantity and quality of water in engineered and natural systems. Effective allocation of water resources requires the use of watershed modeling to simulate the flow of water and the transport of sediment and other associated water quality constituents. Hence, the current workshop aims to provide insight of watershed modeling with the Hydrological Simulation using Python and Pyshed.
The contents of the workshop would be as follow:
- Introduction to Python and Pyshed
- Background on Watershed Modeling
- Acquiring DEM, Clipping; flow direction, flow accumulation, flow distance, stream network, and catchment area
- Write scripts on the above-mentioned topics
- Integration of python with google earth engine and calculating NDVI (Vegetation Indices) and NDWI (Water indices)
- Hydrological modeling using Python and Pyshed

Registration is compulsory for all participants. The registration form should be submitted before the deadline (06-09-2021). After the deadline, the registration form will be closed.
